Words From Church Authorities

"Whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same."

D&C 1:38

Come unto Christ Through Your Trials

H. Burke Peterson

The most significant quest in this life is to gain a personal assurance that we will become what we have been called to become. This effort and this process we refer to as "Coming unto Christ."

Enter to Learn; Go Forth to Fight!

Carlos A. Godoy

I want to tell those here today who for some reason have not served a mission or didn't finish it, don't punish yourself for the rest of your life. Just stand up and aim at the next ordinance. . . There are so many things still to be done in this life, and the Lord still expects a lot from you.

Cast Not Away Therefore Your Confidence

Jeffrey R. Holland

If it was right when you prayed about it and trusted it and lived for it, it is right now. Don't give up when the pressure mounts. Certainly don't give in to that being who is bent on the destruction of your happiness. Face your doubts. Master your fears. "Cast not away therefore your confidence." Stay the course and see the beauty of life unfold for you.

The Stake Patriarch (A Blessing Fulfilled)

Boyd K. Packer

Sometimes someone will worry because a promise made in a patriarchal blessing is not yet fulfilled. ... That does not mean that the blessing will go unfulfilled. It is well to know that things happen in the the Lord's due time, not always in ours. Things of an eternal nature have no boundaries.

Priesthood Blessings (A Star to Follow)

James E. Faust

A patriarchal blessing from an ordained patriarch can give us a star to follow, which is a personal revelation from God to each individual. If we follow this star, we are less likely to stumble and be misled. Our patriarchal blessing will be an anchor to our souls, and if we are worthy, neither death nor the devil can deprive us of the blessings pronounced. They are blessings we can enjoy now and forever.

Like A Broken Vessel

Jeffrey R. Holland

Don’t assume you can fix everything, but fix what you can. If those are only small victories, be grateful for them and be patient.

Hope is never lost. If those miracles do not come soon or fully or seemingly at all, remember the Savior’s own anguished example: if the bitter cup does not pass, drink it and be strong, trusting in happier days ahead.

The Great and Wonderful Love

Anthony D. Perkins

Little children feel and know what perhaps you have forgotten. You are the beloved son or daughter of Heavenly Father, created "in his own image," and of immense value—so much so that Jesus Christ gave His life for you.

Becoming Perfect in Christ

Gerrit W. Gong

Understanding the Savior’s freely given atoning love can free us from self-imposed, incorrect, and unrealistic expectations of what perfection is. Such understanding allows us to let go of fears that we are imperfect—fears that we make mistakes, fears that we are not good enough, fears that we are a failure compared to others, fears that we are not doing enough to merit His love.

Be Ambitious for Christ

Kazuhiko Yamashita

I testify that the Lord knows you. He knows your struggles and concerns. He knows of your desires to serve Him with  devotion and, yes, even ambition.
