COVID-19 Message

To all missionaries who have and will come home due to COVID-19 in 2020:

The adversary will do all he can to make you think that your mission is incomplete, that you have lost time, or that your investigators and recent converts will be lost. This is the Lord’s vineyard. Each soul is being watched over by the Lord. All may be in commotion, but we can have peace knowing that we can trust in our Almighty Loving Father in Heaven and in our Savior Jesus Christ.

He knew all of this from the beginning. Nothing comes as a surprise to the Lord. The Lord needs you home right now. The things you have learned on your mission will bless your family and your friends.

Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for being home with us today.

We have been prepared with what we need.

"I know that this is all part of the Lord’s plan. If you were sent home and released earlier then you hoped or expected, don’t be discouraged. Don’t feel like your mission was cut short or incomplete. You served faithfully and the Lord loves you! And even if you had to remove your name tag this week, don’t feel like your mission is over! The literal gathering of Israel is taking place and we are all part of the continuous restoration of the gospel. Now, more than ever, the Lord needs us all to be diligent disciples and representatives of Jesus Christ. Our missionary purpose holds strong. We can all invite others to come unto Christ in more ways than we can possibly imagine."

- Ruth Missionary Philippines, San Pablo Mission

Coming Unto Christ

“The choice to come unto Christ is not a matter of physical location; it is a matter of individual commitment. All members of the Church have access to the doctrine, ordinances, priesthood keys, and blessings of the gospel, regardless of their location. People can be “brought to the knowledge of the Lord” (3 Nephi 20:13) without leaving their homelands.”
